Dr. Simeon Snow passed away from injuries he received when his horse became frightened and he was thrown from his wagon. His father was also name Simeon Snow. Dr. Snow married Jacob Dievendorf Jr.'s oldest daughter, Elizabeth Snow. His second wife was Elizabeth's younger sister Margaret Dievendorf, born January 10, 1811. Simeon and Margaret had eight children, six sons and two daughters. Dr. Simeon Snow was buried on Jacob Dievendorf Jr.'s farm and later exhumed and re-interred at Fort Plain Cemetery. All of the Snows that were buried on the Dievendorf farm were removed and re-interred at Fort Plain Cemetery, except for Elizibeth.
