SWIFT - Charles Claude Swift of 1247 Juniper Street, Junction city, died March 24, 1976 at the age of 77. He was born July 3, 1898 in Essex, Iowa. He worked as a logging truck driver. He was married to Mary Owens on August 3, 1919 in South Dakota. They moved to the Monroe and Junction City area in 1935. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Mary, two sons, Byron of Springfield and Raleigh of Harrisburg; one sister, Francis [sic] Davenport of Eugene; four grandchildren. Services will be held at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME in Junction City, Saturday, March 27, 1976 at 11 a.m. Private interment will be at the Lane Memorial Gardens. Reverend Dan Clausen officiating.
