The Son of Judge Isaac Scott McClellan and Laura Anna Wray, brother of Senator John L. McClellan. He was raised in the town of Sheridan, married a local girl, Elizabeth Henry of Locust Cottage on 6 Feb 1925 in Sheridan, Grant Co., Arkansas.
To this marriage were born four children, Betty Jo, 1926, Verne Langford, 1929, Anna Bess, 1931, and Marijon, 1932.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Anna, His father, Issac Scott and wife, Elizabeth.
After the death of his wife, Elizabeth, he married a second time to Elizabeth's sister, Rosa Lee Henry Walker.
For many years he worked at the Pine Bluff Post Office starting as an ordinary postal worker who achieved the position of Postmaster of his location in Pine Bluff.
He loved his family, daily Coca Cola, Pecan trees and Fishing. As his niece, I have many good memories of his kindness and good natured love of life.
