WATERVILLE - Grace A. Bailey, 85, passed away peacefully on Feb. 1, 2011, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville. She was born in Winslow on May 31, 1925, the oldest daughter of Ray and Inez (Downs) Getchell.
Grace was employed for the Hathaway Co. for 26 years, retiring in 1987.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Carl "Bud" Bailey; a sister, Avis Burr; and three brothers, Freeman Getchell, Chuck Getchell and Gary Glidden. Surviving are three children, Daniel Mooney Jr. and wife Janet of Leslie, Mich., Michael Mooney and companion Carol of Battle Creek, Mich., and Cindra Bailey of Waterville; a sister, Martha Greenlaw, and husband Jim of Isle Au Haut; a brother, Ray Getchell Jr. and wife Sandy of Tampa, Fla.; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
