Milton Tileston "Mitt" Hamlet was the son of Dana R. and Elizabeth Payson (Snow) Hamlet of Brownville, Maine, who came to Lily Pond, Wright Co. about 1856. He married Emma Lucy Perry, daughter of William Perry, Jr., of Thomaston and Rockland, ME. All five of these people are buried in the Otsego Cemetery. His maternal grandparents, Tileston and Nancy (Heath) Snow, are buried in Big Lake, MN. After the death of his wife in 1919, Milton Hamlet moved to Swanburg, Crow Wing Co., MN, where his youngest child, Nellie, taught school, and he died there (in Timothy Township) 28 Jul 1928.
