Henry came over when he was 11 on the ship "Ohio" with his family in 1843. He's listed as "Harry." After his mother died in Coldwater, Michigan, in 1847, his father moved the family to Brooklyn, Ohio which is now part of Cleveland.
Henry and his wife, Nancy Cowles Kirby, had a store in Eagle Point, Michigan, where the copper mines are located. It is assumed once he was diagnosed with consumption and needed to move to a different climate, they moved the family to a farm in Iowa. He died there and was buried back in Cleveland, where the family plot was located.
