She is the Sister of Robert C. "Charlie" Thompson - also buried in the Roopville cemetery. Charlie was killed in a military plane crash in New Guinea during WW II. His remains, and those of his fellow passengers, were discovered in the early 1980's and his remains were returned to Roopville.
She was born in Anniston, AL and she had many relatives who lived in the Carrollton / Roopville, GA area.
After WW II she moved the family to Atlanta, GA and then later to Lilburn, GA where she lived for the last 40 years of her life.
