Murder Victim. On Thursday March 21, 2002, God sent his angels to bring his daughter home. Cherica Jeanine Brown was born in Norfolk April 9, 1980, and was a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church, Norfolk. Toureh A. Hines, her ex-boyfriend killed Brown shortly after she made a frantic 911 call around 7:30 a.m. on March 21. When police arrived minutes later, Brown and her assailant were dead.

Cherica, fondly known as Jeanine, attended Old Dominion University where she majored in theater education and participated in drama and performed in several plays.
An aspiring actress and model, Brown also had a role in an upcoming film from Tim Reid's New Millennium Studios "For Real".

Brown leaves behind a large family including her parents, stepmother, three brothers, grandparents, six aunts and five uncles. Brown also is survived by her daughter, Jeanae, who had not yet turned a year old at the time of her death

Jeanette, Willie, Paulette and family will receive friends at 1301 Masters Court, Chesapeake. In lieu of flowers, the family prayerfully requests memorial donations be made to the Jeanea Nichole Brown Trust Fund, 1301 Masters Court, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
