Dorothy was living with her son, Neal, since her husband of 70 years, Thurston, died May 3 of this year. Dorothy Parsons and Neal Thurston Clary were married September 23, 1940. Dorothy worked for her husband as a bookkeeper at Clary's Super Service on N.E. 23rd Street in Oklahoma City. They were members of Shields Boulevard Baptist Church until retirement. They moved to Lake Eufaula, where she did volunteer work for the county extension department. They attended Brush Hill Baptist Church until moving back to Oklahoma City in 1995. She spent her remaining years being served by a loving husband. They were members of Rancho Village Baptist Church, where Thurston was a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. She is survived by a son, Neal Jr. and his wife Carolyn (Dixon); a daughter, Teresa and her husband Bill Culbertson; two grandsons: Terry Culbertson and Chris Culbertson; four granddaughters: Natalie Clary Dailey; Jenne Clary Ticer; Stacy Culbertson Richards; and Kristen Clary Hatcher. There are seventeen great-grandchildren and six great- great-grandchildren. Dorothy is also survived by two sisters: Johnnie Cunningham and Betty Crews and her husband, Harold. There are a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.
