ISLANDERS FATHER DIES AT HASTINGS

Ben F. Kraft, 77, father of Lawrence Kraft who lives at 315 West Ninth, died Monday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Ullom in Hastings.

He was born Sept. 28, 1875 and had been a resident of Adams County for more than 50 years.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Hastings. Burial will be in Greenwood Cem at Hanson. The Livingston-Butler-Vohland Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

BEN CRAFT DIES: SERVICE THURSDAY

Ben F. Craft, 77, who had been a resident of Nebraska since 1888, died early Monday following a serious illness of a month. His home was a 306 South Cedar.

Mr Craft was born in Lafayette county, Illinois, September 28, 1875. He lived a number of years in the Hansen community before coming to Hastings.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Ullom of Hastings and Mrs. George Anderson of Greely, Colo.; four sons, Lawrence of Grand Island, Melvin of Pacoima, Calif., and Ben Jr., and Archie of Hastings; his daughter-in-law, Mrs. William Craft of Grand Island; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Jane Briggs of Hansen and Mrs. Ella Grim of Lincoln.

Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Livingston-Butler-Volland Chapel with the Rev. Charles Livingston, pastor of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cem near Hansen.
