Mr. George Alexander died Sunday afternoon at the residence f his daughter in law, Mrs. Florence K. Alexander, from infirmities of old age, being eighty four years of age.

He was the last of the Augusta County Veterans of the Mexican War and was also a Confederate Veteran, having lost a leg at the battle of Chancellorsville. He leaves no immediate family.
