Leora Dickerson Walton, 81, widow of Col. Clayton Walton, died Nov. 12, 2010, in Dupont, Washington after a long illness.
She was born Dec. 6, 1928 in Estill County to the late Lonnie and Elsie Reed Dickerson. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Cox of Jeffersonville, Ind.
Survivors include a son, Steven Alcorn Walton; a daughter Susan Walton Findlay; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of Washington state; two sisters, Leona Madden of Lexington, and Betty Blakenship of Bowling Green, Ohio; an uncle, Beverly Reed of Lexington, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and special friend Maxine Alcorn Long.
Her ashes will be buried on Mount Rainier in Washington at a service in the spring.
