A daughter of the late Charles Newton Fulwider and Flora Etta McCormick Fulwider Miller, she was born November 5, 1918, in Middlebrook.
She lived in Staunton for 20 years and in Harrisonburg for 11 years prior to entering the Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community in 1978. Mrs. Stover had been employed at the Metro Pants Factory in Bridgewater for a number of years.
On March 27, 1937, she married Raymond E. Stover, who passed away June 28, 1991.
Mrs. Stover is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hunter B (Alice) Fauber of Mt. Sidney, one son, Harvey Eugene Stover of Harrisonburg. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Van W. Bell, Jr. of Waynesboro, Diane K Hizer and Mary L. Bell of Mt. Sidney, Harvey L. Stover, Cathy A. Smallwood and John O. Stover, all of Harrisonburg, five step-grandchildren, Marvin Fauber and LaDonna Stroble of Grottoes, Patricia Claytor of Stuarts Draft, Robyn Fauber of Harrisonburg and Wand Reedy of Broadway; four great-grandchildren, Vanessa Lam of Mt. Sidney and Amanda Lee and Amy Stover, all of Harrisonburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stover was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday from the chapel of the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home, with the Rev. Howard Ratcliffe officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Fred Bowers, James Bell, Mark Metcalfe, Charlie Parks, Clarence Williams, and Alvan Kennedy.
