Frances Virginia Gibson, 91, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Avante Nursing Home. Mrs. Gibson was born on June 24, 1922 in Harrisonburg and was the daughter of the late Ashby Lee and Busy Webb Malone.
She was retired from Wal-Mart and Marvel Poultry. She was a member of the VFW Rion Bowman Ladies Auxiliary and the Ridgeway Mennonite Church.
Her husband, Early Page Gibson preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Donald Wayne Gibson, Darlene LaVerne Gibson Boyers, Linda Lee Gibson Ritchie; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was the last surviving member of her family. Along with her husband, Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Allen Gibson and Dennis Eugene Gibson.
Pastor Ben Risser will conduct a funeral service on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.at Ridgeway Mennonite Church. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens
