FAIRFIELD -- Josephine (Chittum) Campbell, 84 of Fairfield, died on Monday (Feb. 9, 1998) at Francis Marton Manor, Marion. She was born of Aug. ll, 1913 at Rockbridge County, a daughter of Roy Jackson and Georgianna (Robertson) Chittum. She was the widow of Harry Huston Campbell.

She was a member of Fairfield United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Houston Campbell.

Surviving are a daughter, Betty (Campbell) Bear of Rural Retreat, two sons, Ted. W. and R. Kennan Campbell both of Fairfield, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington, by the Rev. Doug Gunsalus, with burial at Fairfield Cemetery, VA.
Memorials may be made to Fairfield United Methodist Church, however, flowers will be appreciated.
