Funeral Services for William Morrison “Bill” Cummins, age 71, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Dyer Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September, 20 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Chapel of the funeral home.
Mr. Cummins died Friday, September 17, 2010 at NHC Health Care Center of Cookeville.
He was born November 6, 1938 in Jackson County, TN to the late Carl Thurman Cummins and Maggie Belle Bybee Cummins.
Bill was of the Church of Christ Faith and a member of the College Side Church of Christ for the past seven years. He was also a truck driver for many years before his health failed him.
His family includes his wife; Anna Ruth Jackson Cummins, one sister; Betty Sue Cummins Kelly and husband John of Atwater CA; one brother, Carl Cummins of Battle Creek MI; three cousins, David Cummins and wife Joan of Jackson County TN, James Cummins of San Diego CA, and Clarice Cummins Hargrove of Nashville TN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cummins was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Mary Alice Cummins.
Bro. Mike Palk and Bro. David Cummins will officiate at the services.
