She died of TB.
Nancy Ellen Ruby was born in Keokuk County, Iowa on June 28th, 1862 and died on July 10th, 1924, age 62 years and 12 days. On or about June 20, 1884, she was united in marriage to Mr. Isaac Ingle and to this union were born ten children, six sons and four daughters. Two died in infancy and their remains yet four sons Lafe, Clarence, Mart, and Wallace, all of which live in this vicinity. The four daughters are Mesdames Clara Curtis and Daisy Hubbs of Richlans; Mrs. Celia Barnes of Dumbar, Wisconsin; and Miss Blanche who is still at home. Besides the children she leaves two brothers, Henry Ruby of Rubio; and John Ruby of Marathon and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Dennison of Dudley, Iowa. Six grandchildren are left, one having preceeded her in death. There has been a void made in their home by her departure that none but a mother can fill. She had been ill for some time and had gone to Iowa City to seek relief at the Mercy Hospital where she passed away. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.G. Curry at the Bapist Church in Ollie on July 13th. Interment was made in the Ollie Cemetery.
