Noreen's birth name was Daisy Pearl Beard. She was born 9-22-1919 in Cass County, Minnesota, to Charles William Beard and Almeda Mae Bradley. In June 1922, Daisy and her three older siblings were taken from their parents and placed in the Owatonna State Public School. After 1922, two more siblings of Daisy were born to Charles and Almeda. One of Daisy's siblings, Charles, died in 1923 while in the orphanage. In August 1923, Oscar and Mayme were "restored to parents." Daisy had been living with the Silas H. Blackmore family and continued to live with them as their daughter, though it appears there was no formal adoption. Her name was changed sometime between 1922 and 1928 to Noreen Sadie Blackmore. She married Woodrow Wilson Krueger in 1941 in Cass County, and she did have contact with and know her birth family in her adult life.
