When George Delbert Brown was born on July 16, 1880, in Fort Scott, Kansas, his father, Jonathan, was 49 and his mother, Hannah, was 38. He married Myrtle J Combs on September 19, 1906, in Dixon, Illinois. They had nine children in 21 years. He was a farmer in Polo IL and did land surveying as well as a Democratic representative and was on local governing boards in the community. He died on August 10, 1967, in Polo, Illinois, at the age of 87, and was buried there.
