Max E. Aldrich, 76, of Corunna died Friday, March 5, 2004, at Betz Nursing Home, Auburn.

Mr. Aldrich was a self-employed dairy farmer. He served as a radio technician in the U.S. Marines from 1952 to 1954. He was a member and elder of the Corunna Church of Christ and a member of the DeKalb County Fair Board.

A licensed pilot, he loved to fly and travel and also enjoyed bowling. He was a kind, fun-loving, generous, hard-working husband, father and friend.

Mr. Aldrich was born March 8, 1928, in Richland Township to Charles and Edwina (Sherlock) Aldrich. His parents preceded him in death.

He married Sandra Clark on Dec. 6, 1974, in Corunna. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kevin and Cathy Aldrich of Corunna, Rodney and Patt Aldrich of Corunna and Michael Aldrich of Indianapolis; three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Frank Gilbert of Apopka, Fla., Janet and John Herman of Corunna and Becky and Steven Freiburger of Fort Wayne; three stepdaughters and their husbands, Kim and Jerry Landis of St. Joe, Leigh and John Mergy of Larwill and Tammy and Brent Kult of Lafayette; two sisters, Charlene Bronson of Harlan and Dixie Krehl of Corunna; 17 grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Rex Aldrich.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Corunna Church of Christ with Rev. Lee Bracey officiating. Burial will be in the Fairfield Cemetery, near Corunna.

Calling will be Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at Feller Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo.

Memorials are to the Corunna Church of Christ or the National Parkinson's Foundation.
