Obituary from The Journal and Tribune, Knoxville, Tenn., Wednesday Morning, May 3, 1911: Adkins - The remains of E. W. Adkins, whose death occurred Monday at Columbia, reached Knoxville Tuesday evening at 5:55 o'clock and were removed to the home of Mrs. T. A. Hudiburd, at 913 Henderson street, where the funeral will be held at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon. Rev. Heber D. Ketcham, pastor of the First M. E. church, will officiate, and interment will follow in Old Gray Cemetery. The following gentlemen have been requested to serve as pallbearers: Messrs. W. R. Cooper, H. C. Bondurant, John Ryno, J. C. Chiles, J. W. Ward and H. M Aiken. Burial will be with Masonic honors.
