Lois A. Franz
Lois was born in Corn, Oklahoma on November 18, 1933 to Abraham "Abe" E. Reimer and Alice Stobbe Reimer. She passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in Fresno, California.
Lois attended high school at Corn Bible Academy in Corn, Oklahoma and in 1952 she attended college at Pacific Bible Institute (PBI) in Fresno, California where she met her future husband, Eldon Franz. On July 13, 1954, Eldon and Lois married in Corn, Oklahoma--a union that lasted for 49 years. The Lord blessed them with five sons. Lois was a faithful, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family.
In August 1977, Eldon and Lois began a business ministry that lasted for 23 years, distributing inspirational books and cards throughout California and Nevada. Lois was active in various church ministries and was president of the P.T.A. Council for several schools. She was a deeply committed Christian with a heart for the Lord and was a great encouragement to many people. She deeply enjoyed her family and many friends throughout her life.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon and her parents, A. E. and Alice Reimer.
She is survived by her five sons: Brian and his wife Lori of Fresno; Ed of Coarsegold; Lyndon and his wife Kristi of La Quints, CA; Steve and his wife Trisha of Fresno; and Galen of Coarsegold and Dionna Hadden of Fresno. Lois also leaves nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Provost of Oakhurst; two nieces, Mickey Vogt of Weatherford, OK, and Marsy Nikkel of Fresno; and a nephew, Mike Nikkel of Hong Kong.
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park, Fresno on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at Yosemite Lakes Community Church in Yosemite Lakes Park, Coarsegold on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 11:00 a.m.
