Mr. Beal was born March 3, 1920, in Marshall County to Jack Beal and Ola Wright Beal. He was married 71 years to the former Ruby Smallwood.
He was a lifetime resident of the Arab area, a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church and a retired self employed mechanic, operating a garage in the Arab area since 1947.
He is survived by his wife; son and daughter-in-law,a granddaughter and in-law; a brother and sister-in-law; sister; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Cinda Beal.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.Burial was in Gilliam Springs Cemetery, with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
