A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Saint Mark Congregational Church in Schriever for Rev. Henry Chilton Brinkley, 57, a native of Virginia Beach, Va. and resi-dent of Thibodaux, who died at 2:25 a.m. Feb. 21, 1998.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Burial will be at Little Zion Congregational Cemetery in Chackbay.

He was the husband of Eula Reed Brinkley; son of Irvin and Annie Corprew Brinkley of Virginia Beach, Va.; father of Lisa Robinson of Rayville, Jacquelyn Lombard and Renee Brinkley-Bell of Thibodaux; brother of James, Larry and Irvin L Jr. Brinkley, Mary Kaye Yalborough, Connie Rawlings and Cherron Mitchell. He is also survived by three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Faye Hardy and Paige Southall; and one grandson.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and pastor of Saint Mark Congregational
Church of Schriever.

Community Funeral Home of Houma, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

He married Eula Reed and was the son of Irvin Brinkley and Annie Corprew
