Gerald G. Morin (ASN 36419455)-PFC, 71st Infantry Regiment, 44th Infantry Division, U.S. Third Army. The sons of Fred and Edith (Benoit) Morin of Munising, Michigan, Gerald and his twin brother Harold were born on 5/13/1923. Within the family they were known as “Pat” (Harold) and “Mike” (Gerald). Gerald was part of Alger County’s January 1943 draft group. Originally reported missing in action, he had actually been killed in action in France on 1/3/45. Besides his parents and twin, Chine Harold, Gerald was survived by three sisters, Pauline D. (Cornish; 1/29/1921-4/12/2006), Orvilla (Vardon), and Jeanette (Robins); as well as four more brothers, Paul A., Alsid, Chester, and Wilferd
