Pfc Leon W. Wright entered the armed service Oct. 30, 1942 and trained at Fort McClellan and at other camps in the South, going overseas on April 7, 1944. Before his induction into the Army he was employed by the Stanley G. Flagg company, Stowe, as a coremaker. He attended West Pottsgrove High school and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran church, Stowe.
Pfc Wright was killed by shrapnel from an 88-millimeter shell. The company was fighting its way across the border into Germany at the time. He was first buried in a temporary grave in Belgium
