Miss Zehring was born Sept. 14, 1922, at Quicksburg, daughter of the late Arlington A. and Ruth Webb Zehring.
She was a graduate of New Market High School, National Business College and James Madison University. She held various positions, the last being with the Virginia Employment Commission at Harrisonburg. She was a lifetime member of Solomon Lutheran Church at Forestville.
She is survived by two sisters at home, Arlene Madden and Hilda Zehring, and also Lita Lytton and husband, Tyrus, of Quicksburg; four nieces, Amy L. Cornwell and husband, Joe, of South Caroline, Gina Kimberlain and husband, Dan, of Mount Jackson, Lisa Shugaar and husband, Tony, of Arlington, and Kara Lytton of Atlanta; great nieces and nephews, Zachariah Cornwell, Tessa Cornwell, Heather Kimberlain, Timothy Kimberlain, Tyler Kimberlain and Arlie Shugaar. She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Zehring.
The funeral will be conducted Sunday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. at Solomon Lutheran Church with the Rev. C. Bernard Troutman and the Rev. John Derrick officiating. Burial will follow at Solomon Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be C. W. Getz, Jr., Joda Stickler, Grayson Getz, Hallie Lutz, Steve Coffman and James Wellard.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home at Mount Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rockingham Memorial Hospital, 235 Cantrell Avenue, Harrisonburg VA 22801 or Gift of Life by a blood donation to the Rockingham Memorial Hospital Blood Bank, 540-543-2201, ext. 4298.
