The house of Daniels, Fisher and Smith was closed yesterday, in consequence of the death of E. Smith, a brother of Mr. J. W. Smith, the Junior member of the firm. The deceased lived at Golden, but was well known in the city as a former member of the firm of Smith and Carl, of Leadville. His record both as a business man and a citizen is pure, unspotted and honorable, and he counted his friends by the legion. Wherever he was known he was loved and honored, and a true friend, as congenial in social life as he was straight-forward and honorable in business transactions. His death will cast a gloom over many homes in this city.
