Gladys Bezdek, 76, Abilene, died Tuesday, Aug. 25,1992, at the Abilene Nursing Center. Mrs. Bezdek was born Gladys Cook on Sept. 8, 1915, at Bennington and had been a resident of the Chapman area. She was a resident of Detroit until moving to the Abilene Nursing Center in 1979. She was a member of the former Detroit United Methodist Church. Her husband, Milton, died in 1979. Survivors include four daughters, Sharon Darling and Karen Bowser, both of Abilene, Joyce Mann of Indio, Calif., and Beverly Kramer of Bedford, Texas; three brothers, Robert Cook of Hope and Ralph Cook and Ray Cook, both of California; three sisters,
Zena Engle of Herington, Mary Wood of Washington state and Barbara Smith of Solomon; nine grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Danner Funeral Home, Abilene, the Rev. Jerry Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Enterprise. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Visitation will be at the funeral home, 501 N. Buckeye, Abilene, 67410.
