Gloria Liddle Bangerter, age 83, died at LDS Hospital on Thursday October 5, 2006, of the effects of a fast-moving infection. She was born September 3, 1923, the seventh child of Parley H. and Elizabeth Winder Liddle. She was raised in the Millcreek area. She was an Army nurse during the second World War, and cared for German and Italian prisoners of war. She married Samuel Bawden Bangerter on December 15, 1944, in the Salt Lake Temple. They were the parents of nine children. Sam died May 28, 2006. She was an outstanding mother and homemaker, and was the central figure in her large and devoted family. She was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and excelled at gospel scholarship. She was still serving after many years as the ward Gospel Doctrine teacher. She was an accomplished and avid genealogist and founded and maintained the Bangerter, Winder, and Romney family organizations which flourished under her influence. She also operated her own design business with her daughter, up to the time of her passing. Her family more than adored her. She is survived by her eight children and their spouses: Weyland and Daisy Bangerter, Tom and Carla Ogden, Erlyn Derbidge, Kris and John Campbell, Harlan Bangerter, Judith and Mark Hendriksen, Paula and Mark Winters, Adrian and Jennifer Bangerter; brother, Parley H. Liddle; loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Paul Bangerter; parents; sisters, Rosemarie L. Reisner, Ruth Liddle, Fern L. Dunn and Phyllis L. Buhler; brothers, William and Grant Liddle. Funeral services will be Monday, October 9, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the West Valley Stake Center, 3963 South 3480 West (Peachwood Drive). A viewing will be held on Sunday from 6-8:30 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road and Monday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the Church.
