A funeral for Russell M. Riney, 74, of Wayland, Mo., who died Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Keokuk Area Hospital will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Martha's Catholic Church at Wayland. Burial will be in the St. Patrick, Mo. cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Thursday in Shaffer and Sons Funeral Home at Kahoka. Family will meet with friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday. A rosary service will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He was born June 20, 1908 at Clark County to David M. and Lenora Moore Riney. He married Cecilia Logsdon at St. Patrick in 1927. Survivors include his wife; sons William of Wayland and Edwin of Revere, Mo.; daughters, Mrs. Mary Stevens of Wayland and Mrs. Patricia Winters of Alexandria; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. Martha's Catholic Church.
