Son of Amos and Nancy Tarbutton Bozeman
William Bozeman, the 1st child of Amos and Nancy Bozeman, was born in Hall County, Georgia, March 12,1819.
On Oct. 10,1835 he married Delila Sims.
To this union five children were born: John Merin, George Washington, Pheban, Arminda and Mary Melissa.
It was in 1849 that William Bozeman started to California from Georgia, during the "Gold Rush" of 1849. He became ill on the way and died on the boat before reaching California. As it took 40 days to make the trip his body was thrown over-board. William was only about 33 years of age at the time of his death.
Delila Sims Bozeman, (the wife of William) died in 1887, and was buried in Georgia, in Price Creek Cemetery, Pickens County, Georgia.

I have added William to this Cemetery because his wife is buried here.
