"FORMER OSHKOSH WOMAN DIES AT HOME IN OMRO

Omro, Wis. - (Special) - Mrs. Johanna Hintz, died at her home in the town of Omro Tuesday evening at 9:30 o'clock after an illness of two years.


She was born in Oshkosh, Aug. 20, 1868, the daughter of Martin and Johanna Friday. She was married Aug. 13, 1887 at Oshkosh to Edward Hintz. After living in Oshkosh for a time, the couple moved to the Town of Utica where they resided for 38 years. They lived in the town of Rushford before moving to the town of Omro three years ago.


Surviving are her husband, four sons, Edward, Herbert, and Ervin, of Omro, and Harvey of Berlin; three

daughters, Mrs. N[M]eta Hoppe of Pickett, Mrs. Alma Fredericksen of Omro and Mrs. Amanda Werch of Berlin, 18 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Tillie Heise and Mrs. Emma Wilson of Oshkosh; one

brother, William Friday of Oshkosh.


Mrs. Hintz, was a member of Zion Lutheran church. Last August she and her husband celebrated

their golden wedding anniversary.


Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 o'clock at the Zion

Lutheran church, the Rev. O.T. Hoyer of Winneconne officiating. Burial willl be in Riverside cemetery, Oshkosh.
