Funeral services for Wendell Niece, 81, of Borden, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 15, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with burial in Miller Cemetery, Borden.
He died Tuesday March 9, 2010, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.
He was a native of Kirksville, Mo., and retired from International Harvester as a pipe fitter.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and working on his farm.
Survivors include his son, Jason Niece, of Borden; daughter, Sherry Mikel and her husband, Troy, of Memphis; grandchildren, Wendy, Joshua, Jacob and Isabella Niece; and great-granddaughters, Hannah and Christina Niece.
He was preceded in death by his son, Greg Niece; brothers, Wayne and Verlan Niece; and sister-in-law, Pat Niece.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Indiana.
