Lucille Turner, 86, of Springfield Mo. passed away Sunday evening March 7, 2010, at Maranatha Village. Lucille was born February 11, 1924 to Andrew and Mandy Filbeck. She attended Blue Star School near Rogersville. She was united in marriage to James H. Turner on May 16, 1942. She was a past worthy matron of the Eastern Star and a member of Mt. Pisgah Methodist Church. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. She enjoyed volunteering at the Southside Senior Center and attending Senior citizens dances. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents, and 9 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Jamie and wife Bonnie; grandsons, Kelly turner, Kennie Turner and wife Stephanie; great grandchildren, Stephanie, Jenny, Cody and Kyle Turner, and Numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted by Greenlawn Funeral Home South with visitation on Tuesday, March 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 10. Burial will be in the Turners Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Turners Cemetery or to the donors choice.
