Business executive, stockbroker, pilot, and horse breeder. He married Anne Valliant Burnett, the 6666 Ranch's heiress in 1932. Hall was a pilot in the Air Force throughout both World Wars. In 1931, he broke Frank Hawks' flying speed record by flying from New York to Havana, Cuba. During World War II, he also served as a pilot under General Hoyt Vandenberg. Hall worked on the New York Stock Exchange as a stockbroker. Later, he worked at Graham Paige, an automobile firm, as vice president. The American Quarter Horse Association's first treasurer was Hall. He petitioned the National Stallion Board to recognize the Quarter Horse as a separate breed. He also produced early films about Quarter Horses in the Southwest. After his death in 1952, he was inducted into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame.
