Marie G. Cloud, 97, of Franklin passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at Franklin United Methodist Community.
She was born Dec. 10, 1912, in Taylorsville to Harry Bolton and Ida Mae (Lewis) Bolton. She married Richard Henry Cloud, and he preceded her in death March 9, 1976. She had been a Tupperware manager for more than 25 years. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. She enjoyed craftwork and crocheting and was a fabulous cook. She was a loving and giving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy L. Craighead and her husband, Roger, of Franklin; two grandchildren, Todd A. Craighead of Franklin and Heidi L. Hickle and her husband, Todd, of Trafalgar, two great-grandchildren, Cody Craighead and Colbie Craighead, both of Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Henry Cloud; a sister, Elizabeth Alberta Haile; and an infant brother, Delmar Bolton.
The Rev. Jeff Johnson will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. Morton St. (U.S. 31 South) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery in Bartholomew County.
