Civil War Veteran
Directions to the unmarked graves of Azaswell & Mary Eliza Burgess
*Provided by Golden Township Deputy Clerk, Janet Redding
If you are heading west towards Silver Lake on Fox Road enter at the very last drive by the building. (You will be on the far west side of the Cemetery) Now I have to give you directions by land marks: Along the drive go to the 4th big tree, walk straight east to a double stone (Snider) it has 2 pines on each side, walk to the next row east to the stone marked Eva Bender. If you stand in front of this stone and look east the Burgess stones that you are looking for are to the left. They are unmarked stones (two small white stones with no markings at all). We have them listed in our book as Aswell Burgess & Elizabeth Burgess. I have no other Burgess recorded at either Cemetery.
