Mr. James Oscar Yeomans, age 71 of Midland City, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009 at home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services honoring the life of Mr. Yeomans will be 2:30 P.M. Monday, January 4, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dothan with Bishop Mark Skipper officiating. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 4 to 6 P.M. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Wiregrass Hospice.

He was preceded in death by his father Boyd Yeomans, mother, Myrtle Yeomans, first wife Joy Bryant Yeomans.

Mr. Yeomans is survived by his wife of 32 years, Joyce Yeomans, sons, Lynn Yeomans and his wife Dominique of Ozark, Scotty Yeomans and his wife Lydia of Midland City, Teddy Holmes of York, South Carolina, daughters, Melissa Holmes of Sydney, N.S.W. Australia Teressa Colburn of Midland City, AL,, Amanda Green and her husband Ryan of Midland City, grandchildren, Danielle Yeomans, Bethanie Yeomans, Amanda Green, Cameron Donnelly, Hali Donnelly, Alex Donnelly, Korey Donnelly, Niki Holmes, Travis Woody, Tyler Woody, great-grandchildren, Makayla Woody, Preston Woody, brothers, Ted Yeomans and his wife Melba of Midland City, Thomas Yeomans and his wife Gloria of Midland City, William Yoemans and his wife LaRhonda of Dothan, sisters, Annie Jean Adams and her husband Charles and Judy Hancock and several nieces and nephews.
