Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 9 at Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Merlin Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
Born July 17, 1936 to Marion Sanford Bryant and Rosie Lee Whitehurst Bryant, he was married to the love of his life, Christine Tate Bryant for 53 years. A lifelong member and deacon of Cool Springs Baptist Church, he was blessed by God to be a highly skilled carpenter for over 40 years, building hundreds of homes and helping others all across the Wiregrass. Along the way, he also served his country in the Army National Guard where he retired to devote more time to family, fishing and cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide.
His oldest daughter, Brenda Spence, as well as 4 sisters and 6 brothers preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Christine Bryant, sister Lin-dy Anderson; son, Stanley; daughter, Martha Hussey (Dale); and son, Chris (Stacy); as well as 5 grandsons, Sunny (Heather), Jerime (Christy), Gabriel, Raphael and Mychail; and a granddaughter, Sarah. He is also survived by great-grand-sons, Masyn, Riley, and Jeremiah; and a great-grand-daughter, Jordan; as well as adoptive grandchildren Christine, Frankie and Anna.
