Funeral Services To Be Held Thursday Afternoon.
By Special Correspondent
MIDDLETOWN, Ind., July 30 - Frank E. Gustin, 73, carpenter and lifelong resident of this community, died at 7 a.m. today at the home of a son, Glen. Mr. Gustin ahd been blind for 18 years.
Also surviving are a grandson, Roland Gustin of Middletown; three brothers, John of Middletown, Charles of Alexandria, and Pha of Van Wert, O.; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Parry; two half brothers, L. L. Bristol of Middletown and Will Bristol of Anderson; a half sister, Mrs. Mary Ellison of Muncie rural route.
Mr. Gustin was a member of the Red Men's lodge and of the Bristol church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the home of a son.
Burial will be in Keesling cemetery.

Frank E. Gustin Dies At Middletown Today
Middletown, July 30 -- Frank E. Gustin, age 73, died early this morning at the home of a son, Glenn Gustin, after having been ill for some time. For the past eighteen years he has been blind. Most of his early life was spent as a carpenter. He was a member of the Order of Red Men as well as a member of the Bristol Church. The body will be removed to the residence this evening.
Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence of the son with burial following in Keesling Cemetery.
Surviving, besides the son at whose home he died, are three brothers, Charles, of Alexandria, John of a local rural route, and Pha, of Van Wert, O.; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Perry, of an Anderson rural route; two half-brothers, L. L. Bristol, of here, and Will Bristol, of Anderson one half-sister, Mrs. Mary Ellison, of Muncie and one grandson, Rollin.

Services for Frank E. Gustin, 73 who died Tuesday were held at the home of his son Glen Gustin, burial in Keesling cemetery. Mr Gustin was the son of Joseph and Margaret Bristol Gustin. When he was 8 years old he was hit in the eye by a dried up peach, to which no special importance was attached at the time. By the time he was 33 he lost the sight in that eye entirely and 17 years ago his sight failed in the remaining eye. In spite of his affliction,
he always was in good spirits and enjoyed talking with friends and relatives.
He married Lucy Hoppes, daughter of Isaac and Martha Hoppes at the home of her parents Madison Co. April 1889. She died in 1895. In addition to his son
Glenn , he is survived by 3 brothers, John, Middletown; Charles, Alexandria;
Pha of Ohio; 2 half brothers. I.L. Bristol and Will Bristol and a sister Mrs. Pearl Perry, Anderson and a half sister Mrs. Mary Ellison, 1 grandchild.
