He was a early resident of Lansing, Illinois, and charter member of the Knights of Columbus there. He helped lay out their property and build the hall that stands today.
He eventually moved back to his home town, where he raised his family.
After his wife MaDonna passed away, he remarried to Goldie B. Timmons.
He relocated to Monticello IN. upon retirement, living in the lake home he built, and wintered in Harlingen Tx. until is passing in 1999.
He was an active member of the Catholic Church, and also the Knights of Columbus, where he served as a 4th degree Knight.
