Our beloved mother, Katie Mae Van Noy Christensen Jensen, 96, passed away July 13, 1992, in Salt Lake City.
Born April 13, 1896, in Richmond, Utah, to William Thomas and Katie Bagley Van Noy.
She married Herbert Christensen, Sr., March 26, 1919 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; he preceded her in death June 28, 1958.
She then married William F. Jensen, Sept. 8, 1964; he died August 19, 1974.
She was active in the LDS Church, holding many positions, including singing in the Tabernacle Choir for many years.
She worked at Keeley's Cafe for 14 years; and sold tickets for Holiday on Ice and the Utah State Fair for many years.
Survived by three daughters, Kris Grosjean, Bountiful; Peggy Whetton, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Bill (Kay) Kitley, Murray; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister in-law, Rita Spackman, Smithfield.
Preceded in death by Son, Herbert, Jr.; and a granddaughter, Susan.
Graveside services will be Thursday, July 16, 2:30 p.m., at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 1750 East 3300 So.
Friends may call Thursday, 1-2 p.m., at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 So. 2300 East.
Katie's family wishes to extend their appreciation to the doctors, nurses and nurses's aids of the first floor of the Salt Lake Nursing and Rehab Center.
