Emma Florence (Locke) Zuspann was my g-gm. She died 3 years before I was born, so, she and I never 'met', so to speak. She was born E F Locke, and became E F Zuspann when she married my g-gr, Louis Allen Zuspann. L A Zuspann died 1940. A year later at 69 years of age g-gm Zuspann married William King in 1941.

Her grandchildren from the A E Veal and Beulah Florence Zuspann marriage called her "Granny Zuspann".

Victoria (Popov) Knezek remembers being told stories by her mother, Imogene Maclin (Veal) Popov, about how Granny Zuspann was good-naturedly teased about this late-in-life 2nd marriage. Faye Lavell (Veal) Stuart Taulbee, one of the most prone to tease anyone spearheaded the teasing. The story goes that she teased Granny Zuspann by telling her they didn't want her having anymore children.

Another family tale, Emma Joan must have lived with Mother Veal on College Street in Fort Worth, Tx because the story goes that a cousin, David Daniels (Zena's youngest boy) would swipe Granny's cane and she would have to give him money to get it back.
