Annie Sue Goins, 71, of 514 Mountain Hill Road, Ringgold, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, N.C., after being in declining health for the last five years and hospitalized for the past two months.

Goins was born in Guilford County, N.C., on Sept. 27, 1938, a daughter of the late Joe L. Bibee and Myrtle Burnett Bibee. She had lived most of her life in the Mountain Hill Community of Pittsylvania County. She worked with the former Smith Veneer Company as a machine operator until her retirement due to health reasons. Mrs. Goins was of the Baptist faith.

On Feb. 26, 1958, she was married to Robert Luther Goins, who survives of the residence. She is also survived by two daughters, Teresa G. Lovelace and husband, Jimmy, of Pelham, N.C., Bonnie G. Reynolds and husband, Wiley, of Ruffin, N.C.; one son, Robert Luther "Speedy" Goins, of Ringgold; three brothers, Roy Bibee, of Ringgold, Jimmy Bibee, of Henderson, N.C., David Bibee, of Blairs; three sisters, Margaret Hultquist, of Ashville, N.C., Peggy Hamlett, of Kernersville, N.C, and Betty Lou Gibson, of Fayetteville, N.C.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister, Helen "Boots" Underwood.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel with the Rev. Steve Wright officiating. Interment will follow the service in Floral Hills Memory Garden.
