Edward was the son of Isaac Fox and Delia Dixon Fox. During World War I, Edward served in France with Company F, of the 330th Infantry. He was a former barber and also worked for a number of years at Hooven & Allison.
Edward's body was found in the Good Will Collection structure in the parking lot of Kroger's Grocery Store in Xenia, Ohio. Two police officers found the body when they were making a routine check of the Kroger's parking lot. The Greene County Coroner, Dr. H.C. Schick ruled Edward's death as due to natural causes.
