CAREL Kathryn L. "Kate," our most precious mother was called to be with her Savior on Monday, August 11, 2003. She is now with her beloved angels. Kathryn was born on January 21, 1932, in Oklahoma City. She was the daughter of Charles Sanders and Claude and Mary Morrison. She lived in Union City throughout her childhood and graduated from Union City Schools in 1950. On June 23, 1951, Hubert G. Carel and Kathryn were united in Holy Matrimony. To this union were born five children. They relocated to El Reno in 1973. Kate was employed at Park View Hospital for over 30 years, serving as an EMT, in respiratory therapy and home health. At the time of her passing she was employed with Canadian Valley Medical Solutions in marketing. She loved her marketing job, dressing up, looking pretty and meeting new people everyday. Our mother was known to her seven precious grandchildren as "Meems." She loved them with all her heart and they loved her the same. She was so proud of each and was very much a part of their lives. Kate was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hubert "Bally" Carel and her parents. Our Mother was the light of our lives, we will miss her dearly, now she's dancing in Heaven with Daddy. A prayer service will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14th. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 15th with Father Thomas Boyer. Both services will be at Sacred Heart Church in El Reno.
