Actress, performer, entertainer, rodeo trick roper, and rider. Rose made her rodeo debut in the Columbia Rodeo when she was 15 years old, earning the title of "Queen of the Mississippi Cowgirl." She is the only female trick roper known to have mastered the art of twirling three ropes at once, one in each hand and the third in her mouth or toes. She was a prominent performer at rodeos across the United States and Canada for 13 years, including several years as the Wild Bill Elliott Rodeo Company's entertainment star. She toured with Roy Rogers and Dale Evans for the USO. She also toured Europe and Asia with Bob Hope and Johnny Grant as one of their stage performers. She was a movie actress, known for "The Time, the Place, and the Girl" (1946), "Smoky River Serenade" (1947), and "The Lawless Rider" (1954). She was inducted into the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame in 1981, the Utah Rodeo Hall of Fame in 2013 and the Mississippi Rodeo Hall of Fame in 2017.
