Father: George Wesley Adair. Mother: Una Blanche Smith Adair. Married Hazel Love Griffin.Tubby and Hazel were the parents of Hazel Yvonne, Barbara Joyce, Stephen Ray, Gordon Wesley and Howard Milton Adair. He drove the Brownsboro school bus for many years, some of which time the roads were un-paved and were difficult to get over when wet. He also worked in road construction, operating heavy equipment. and farmed in between other work.
Comments by Jaycie Smith Rinehart: My Dad, Wade Smith, frequently took my sister and I to visit with Tubby. He always wore overalls. He had water in the refrigerator that was held in jars that had bubbles inside the glass and I remember looking at those bubbles. Tubby also had a big jug of key chains and I remember sorting through those. Tubby smoked cigars and the first crayon boxes I had at school were made out of Tubby's used cigar boxes. There is a tree in Tubby's front yard; I fell out of that tree once and had the wind knocked out of me. Tubby also had persimmon trees in his pasture and my Dad would take us to pick up persimmons.
