AUGUSTA -- Dana Lee Chase Sr., age 53, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Augusta on Friday, Sept. 26, 2008. Dana is the son of Owen A. Chase and Annie E. (Peaslee) Chase of Somerville. His father passed away in 1991. He attended Erskine Academy in South China.
Dana is survived by his wife of 32 years, Berniece L. (Hisler) Chase, of Augusta; his son, Dana Jr. and his girlfriend, Lori, of Livermore Falls; two sisters: Diane Bailey and her husband, Norman, of Vassalboro and Darlene Leigh and her husband, James Sr., of Jefferson; four brothers: Dennis Chase and his wife, Marina, of Windsor, Don Chase of Somerville and his special friend Delta; Dave Chase and Delbert Chase, both of Somerville; nieces Traci Leigh, Trisha Chase, Felisha Chase and Natasha Chase; nephews Jr. Leigh, Scott Bailey and Ricky Chase; his father-in-law, Andrew Hisler, Sr. and his wife Joyce; brothers-in-law, Melvin Light of Winthrop, Randolph Hisler of Weeks Mills, Andrew Hisler Jr. and his wife Janice of Somerville and Leon Hisler and Eileen of Somerville.
There will be no public visiting hours. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Oct. 4 at 11:30 a.m. at Sand Hill Cemetery, Somerville.
